BIOGRAPHY
A “Double Longhorn,” Ms. Rodriguez began her work with Hilliard Shadowen LLP as a summer intern and joined the firm full-time after graduating law school. At H&S, her practice concentrates on animating the civil and human rights enshrined in our laws and founding documents, including by challenging government abuse, addressing the role of negligent U.S. actors in international gun-trafficking, and protecting the rights of everyday consumers to essential goods and services. Before joining the firm, Ms. Rodriguez gained experience as a student practitioner with the UT Immigration Clinic, Criminal Law Clinic, and Employment Rights Clinic, and served as a legal clerk for U.S. District Judge Diana Saldaña in the Southern District of Texas, Laredo Division, which sits in her hometown.
Beyond practicing law, Ms. Rodriguez has served as a 7th grade writing teacher, has managed history-making political campaigns in the State of Texas, and has directed policy for San Antonio City Council, District 2. She is also an avid herp keeper who pays loving care to her six arachnids, two lizards, two frogs, and one snake. And, also, of course, her canine child.
